Leak Detection
Some of the most dangerous leaks in the world involve gases that are colorless and sometimes odorless. Refrigerant and hydrocarbon leaks are common problems in refrigeration systems and air conditioners. A UV flashlight can make short work of identifying the source of the leak. Sometimes the leaking gas shows up under UV light.

Nail Gel Curing
Most gels cure well in wavelengths of 340 to 380 nanometers (nm).
The intensity is according to the wattage of the bulb and the number of bulbs. Another important matter to cure a gel is how far the bulbs are from the fingernails. The farther the bulbs are away from the gel, the slower the gel will cure. If the bulbs are too far away, the gel may not even cure at all.

Under an UV flashlight, you will see a quarter-inch security thread leading from the top to the bottom of the bill. If you don't see this thread line or it is hard to see, the bill is fake.
